On July 22 St Stephens Episcopal Church will be hosting a fund-raising dinner for the priest’s discretionary fund. The purpose of the discretionary fund is to provide temporary financial assistance to community members in times of personal crisis. Examples of how this fund has been used include paying for prescriptions, paying for utility bills to prevent shut off, emergency car repair and housing assistance.

  Currently the funds have been depleted because there was a house fire, and a member of the community lost their home. And St Stephen’s provided temporary housing assistance and a cell phone to reestablish communication, so they could get more long-term aid.

  We ask for your assistance to help with our fund-raising event. What we ask for is one tray of prepared food on the day of the event. Or food items that can be used to prepare meals. What you contribute is up to you. We can schedule a volunteer to pick up your donation. We will be happy to label your donation so our patrons will know of your participation.

  We hope you will consider contributing to help make this event a success. If you would rather make a financial donation, you can make checks payable to St Stephen’s Episcopal Discretionary fund. Dollar Auction

  The dollar auction has been changed to June 24th 2023, doors open at eleven. We are accepting items that need to be new, not used. We are also looking for volunteers to help give out refreshments, runners to collect dollars and a banker to make change.
