Our Daily Bread Pantry and Hungry Paws is made up of members of the St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church community and other volunteers who assist in maintaining our pantry, provide food for the sick, the hungry and the needy. The food pantry is here to help those who have minimal funds to work with and come to us when they have a specific need for food. The Our Daily Bread Pantry and Hungry Paws through very generous donations is also able to provide pet food for dogs and cats. For further information please call:
Jim Jados, Director, Food Pantry at (732) 408-5948. (Please make note of this new direct number to the Pantry)

Beginning May 2, 2017, anyone needing help with supplemental food will be placed on a waiting list. This has become necessary so that our present pantry patrons can continue to receive food through the remaining year.

St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Whiting, NJ practices a unique ministry in Our Daily Bread Pantry and Hungry Paws, a food pantry open three days a week that imitates the practice of shopping at a classic general store. This helps our clients to feel at ease while visiting the pantry.

The garden at Our Daily Bread Pantry and Hungry Paws was originally planted to help offset the cost of providing fresh produce to our visitors. It quickly developed into a community project when our neighbors from Cedar Glen Lakes volunteered to further develop and maintain our garden as a gift to help the hungry.

The garden produces a quarter-ton of tomatoes, peppers, squash, corn, string beans and other produce each season, and uses all-organic methods for growing.
